১৯৬৬-১৯৬৯.....বিনা বিদ্যুতে.. হ্যারিকেন আলোয়.. সোনার দিনগুলি। তখন বুঝতে পারিনি, কষ্ট হত। প্রতিপদে নিয়ম ভেঙ্গে যেত আর শাস্তিও পেতাম। যত রাগ গিয়ে পড়ত বাবার উপর। আমি পড়তাম হাওড়া অক্ষয় শিক্ষায়াতনে , অষ্টম শ্রেণী পর্যন্ত। বিধানসভায় আদর্শ স্কুল বলে বৈষ্ণবচক মহেশচন্দ্র হাই স্কুলের নাম উঠতেই আমার জন্য কারাগারের বন্দোবস্ত হয়ে গেলো। স্কুলের হোস্টেলে থাকার ব্যবস্থাও হয়ে গেলো এবং সঙ্গে সঙ্গে একটা ভাবধারার বই ধরিয়ে দিলো, যাতে ১২৮ টা নিয়ম,তারমধ্যে ক খ গ ঘ,,,,, অনুচ্ছেদ। হাফ শার্ট, হাফ প্যন্ট অথবা ধুতি, ফুল প্যন্ট নৈব নৈব চ। নদীর পাড়ে আমাদের স্কুল। বাঁধ থেকে নেমেই বা দিকে প্রথমেই আনন্দ ভবন, শুরু হতো আনন্দলোকে মঙ্গলালোকে দিয়ে, ডানদিকে মুল স্কুলবাড়ী, ক্লাস শেষ হত নলিনী দার হাত ধরে ঘন্টা এবং HMV-র রেকর্ড প্লেয়ারে জনগন মন অধিনায়ক জয় হে....দিয়ে। স্কুলে একটা স্টেশনারি self service দোকান ছিলো যার কোন দোকানি ছিলোনা।, আনন্দ ভবনের পাশেই ক্যন্টিন তারপরেই বড় একটা লাইব্রেরী যেখানে অনেক সময় কাটিয়েছি বিকালে ছুটির পর অথবা ছুটিরদিন, এর ঠিক উল্টোদিকে একতলা দুই ঘরের গেস্ট হাউস, কোনদিন থাকার সৌভাগ্য হয়নি। একটু এগিয়ে বাদিকে প্রাইমারি স্কুল ,তারপর বাচ্চাদের খেলার জায়গা । উল্টোদিকে একটা বড় পাড় বাঁধানো পুকুর,যেখানে সাঁতার শিখেছি এবং রোজই স্নান করেছি। বাদিকে বড় একটা খেলার মাঠ যেখানে তিনটে সিফটে খেলা হত ছুটির পর। আর একটু এগোলেই দোতলা হোস্টেল বিল্ডিং-১ । হোস্টেল বিল্ডিং-২ এবং মেয়েদের হোস্টেল আমাদের হাত ধরে পরে তৈরী হয়েছে। হোস্টেল বিল্ডিং-১ এর ঠিক পিছনেই শিক্ষকদের পরিবারের সঙ্গে থাকার ব্যবস্থা ছিল।দেখতে দেখতে তিন বছর কিভাবে কেটে গেলো বোঝাই গেলো না। Pre test - test এর পর হোস্টেল ছেড়ে স্কুল বিল্ডিংএ তিনতলায় থাকার ব্যবস্থা হল তিন-চার মাসের জন্য । মার্চ মাসে বিনাগার্ডে পরীক্ষা আনন্দ ভবনে ।এখনও মনে হয় এইতো সেদিনকার কথা। মানসিক ভাবে শৃঙ্খলাকে মজ্জাগত করে নিয়েছিলাম তাই বেশ কিছুদিন স্কুলের বাইরে এসে অসুবিধা হচ্ছিলো ।তুমি অধম বলে আমি উওম হইব না কেন ? স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক ছিলেন শ্রী শ্রীদাম চন্দ্র বেরা এবং সহকারি প্রধান শিক্ষক ছিলেন শ্রী সন্তোষ কুমার সামন্ত । ছাত্র ও ছাত্রীদের মুখোপাত্র ছিল তিনজন নির্বাচিত ছাত্র ও ছাত্রী, সর্বাধিনায়ক, ক্রিরা অধিনায়ক, সাফাই অধিনায়ক । প্রাক্তন বা বর্তমান ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের কাছে অনুরোধ স্কুল ও হোস্টেল সম্মন্ধে বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি ছবিসহ জানালে বা upload করলে খুসি হব। ~ by Dr Anup Kumar Biswas
