CBSE has announced a revised National Scholarship Portal (NSP) framework for Academic Year 2026-27. Scholarships are now split into merit-based and welfare-based categories, and a student can hold both. The portal will reuse first-application details, and schools must inform eligible students and parents.
CBSE Sample Question Papers 2026-27 for Class 10 and 12 are now available on cbseacademic.nic.in, along with the Marking Schemes. The Board confirms no change in question paper design, assessment pattern, or passing criteria from 2025-26. Students can download subject-wise papers and email queries to cbsesqp@cbseshiksha.in.
The CBSE-CVC Poster Making Competition 2026 is open for students of Classes VIII to XII on the theme "Probity for Prosperity". Schools run it between 22 September and 1 October 2026 and upload three best A2 landscape entries (PDF/JPG/PNG, max 2MB) via the link on cbseacademic.nic.in from 25 September. A webinar is set for 25 September 2026 at 11:30 AM.
The CBSE Special Examination 2026 West Asia LOC window is open from 22 September 2026 to 26 September 2026 for Class XII Regular and Private candidates whose main papers could not be held. Students must register online at www.cbse.nic.in, pick one or more of the 40 affected subjects, and note the Application Number. Special Examination marks will overwrite the earlier marks.
The National Testing Agency has announced the SWAYAM July 2026 semester exam dates. The exam will be held from 08 to 12 December 2026, with 13 and 14 December 2026 kept as buffer dates. Candidates should track exams.nta.nic.in/swayam and nta.ac.in for admit cards and further updates.
CBSE Class 12 Special Examinations 2026 for West Asia students will cover the 40 subjects cancelled during the 2026 Board exams. Following a Supreme Court order, eligible regular and private candidates whose results came under the Assessment Scheme must submit their LOC or examination form personally between 22 September 2026 and 26 September 2026. No fee is charged and results will be final.
The NTA Examination Calendar 2027 is out, listing tentative dates from December 2026 to March 2027, including UGC NET December Cycle, JEE (Main) Session 1 in January 2027, CMAT, CUET (PG) and more. CBSE Yuva for Viksit Bharat Programme 2026 will run in all affiliated schools through September and October 2026 with art workshops, essay and poster competitions, group discussions and a tree plantation drive. Schools must also join the CBSE Talkathon on #NashaMuktYuva for Viksit Bharat on 20 September 2026 and submit an activity report through a Google Form by 31 October 2026.
CBSE E-Waste Awareness Campaign and Collection Drive 2026 asks all affiliated schools to run a two-phase drive under Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE: set-up from 15 September to 30 September and collection from 1 October to 31 October. Schools must build e-waste corners, use only CPCB/SPCB-certified recyclers, avoid dismantling by children, and log activity on the Mission LiFE portal and CBSE form.

CBSE CTET December 2026 exam dates are out: the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on 12th and 13th December 2026. Candidates can check their allotted exam city on the CTET portal 15 days before the exam, while the admit card with the centre address comes two days before.
The Department of Skill Education, CBSE will hold a one-day Shorthand English (825) capacity building programme for teachers on 30 September 2026 at YWCA of Delhi, Connaught Place, in offline mode. Registration closes on 28 September 2026 through an official form. Attendance is mandatory for teachers already teaching the subject; no fee and no TA/DA.
CBSE Shorthand Hindi (826) teacher training 2026 is a one-day offline capacity building programme on 25 September 2026 at YWCA of Delhi, Connaught Place, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. CBSE Veer Gatha 6.0 2026 is open for Grade 3 to 12 students, with poems, essays, paintings, multimedia and short videos on Gallantry Award winners. Schools conduct and evaluate activities till 4 October 2026, then upload one best entry per category, four in all, on the MyGov portal between 5 and 19 October 2026. National winners get Rs. 10,000 each.

CBSE has asked all affiliated schools to prepare accurate student records before registration for Classes IX and XI and LOC submission for Classes X and XII open for board exams 2027. Schools must verify names, date of birth, gender, category, parent names, subject-wise registration, and photos and signatures before submitting, to avoid corrections and delays.
