CBSE Vigilance Awareness Week 2026: Schools to Observe VAW 26 Oct to 1 Nov

CBSE Vigilance Awareness Week 2026: Schools to Observe VAW 26 Oct to 1 Nov

Schools under the Central Board of Secondary Education have a week-long job on their hands. CBSE has asked every affiliated school to observe Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 from 26 October to 1 November 2026, built around the theme “सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि” / “Probity for Prosperity”. The week is tied to the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The idea is simple. Get students, teachers, and staff talking about honesty, and why corruption holds a country back.

What CBSE Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 asks schools to do

CBSE has shared a set of suggestive activities. Schools can pick and shape them to suit their setting:

  • Put up banners, posters, and hoardings on the theme “Probity for Prosperity.”
  • Administer the “Integrity Pledge” to students, teachers, and all staff members. The pledge text is given in Annexure-A of the circular.
  • Encourage everyone to take the e-Pledge on the Central Vigilance Commission portal at https://pledge.mygov.in/cvc/.
  • Hold awareness sessions for senior students on how corruption hurts society and national growth.
  • Sensitise staff members on probity, integrity, and moral values, with a focus on getting young people to take up ethical practices.
  • Organise lectures, panel discussions, debates, quizzes, essay writing, slogan writing, elocution, cartoon, or poster-making competitions on integrity, ethics, and good governance.
  • Conduct seminars or workshops in line with the week’s theme.

The Integrity Pledge students will take

The pledge in Annexure-A has citizens commit to follow probity and the rule of law, to neither take nor offer a bribe, to work honestly and transparently, to act in public interest, to lead by example, and to report any corruption to the right agency.

Report deadline schools must note

Schools have to upload a brief report of the activities they conduct, along with photographs, by 2 November 2026. The report goes to this link: https://forms.gle/AKmuz1LJZzVtF7FC7.
