A live chat on drugs, peer pressure and how to say no is coming to CBSE students this Sunday. The board will hold a CBSE Talkathon on “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” on 20 September 2026, streamed free on YouTube, and it wants students to send in their questions before it goes on air. The window to post those questions is open now.
The session runs for 45 minutes, starting 06:00 PM IST. Students don’t need to register. They just need to tune in, and, if they want their question answered, post it on social media in the days before.
What the CBSE Talkathon on Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat is about
This Talkathon sits under a larger government campaign. On 2 August 2026, the Government of India launched the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan”, a nationwide push against substance abuse that will run over the next 100 Sundays, with young people leading it.
CBSE has built its own event on top of that. The Talkathon puts school students in conversation with a panel drawn from the Narcotics Control Bureau, AIIMS New Delhi and CBSE-affiliated schools. The discussion covers substance-abuse prevention, peer pressure, responsible choices, spotting the early signs of drug use, seeking help, and how friends and families can step in.
Here’s the format that matters: the panel answers real questions from students. Those questions come in through X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, and selected ones get taken up live.
