CBSE Skill Education Capacity Building Programmes for Classes VI-VIII in September 2026

CBSE Skill Education Capacity Building Programmes for Classes VI-VIII in September 2026

Teachers and school heads across six states have a set of dates to mark this September. CBSE is running face-to-face Capacity Building Programmes on Skill Education for Classes VI-VIII, and it wants Directors, Principals, Vice-Principals and teachers of its affiliated schools to attend. The training runs across six venue schools between 14 September and 21 September 2026.

The sessions are built around the Kaushal Bodh activity books that NCERT has developed for skill learning at the middle-school level. Skill Education is now mandatory in Classes VI to VIII, and these programmes are meant to get teachers ready to teach it well in their own classrooms.

CBSE Skill Education Capacity Building Programme dates and venues

Each programme is being held with the Sahodaya School Complexes of the respective cities. Here is where and when they take place:

Date Venue School Location

What teachers need to know before attending

The programme timing is fixed. Every session runs from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

A few practical points:

  • There is no fee to attend these Capacity Building Programmes.
  • No TA/DA (travel or daily allowance) will be paid to participants.
  • Participants must confirm their attendance with the venue school in advance so the school can plan the logistics.
  • Carry your NCERT Kaushal Bodh activity books along, as the discussions are built around them.
  • Teachers can reach out to the venue school directly to take part.

CBSE has been clear that heads and teachers of affiliated schools should join so they can put Skill Education into practice properly once they return. If a school falls near any of the six venue cities, its teachers can plan to attend the nearest date.

More CBSE academic notifications are posted at https://cbseacademic.nic.in. Schools that want to send staff should confirm participation with the venue school before the programme date.
