The Board has told all affiliated schools that registration for Classes IX and XI and List of Candidates (LOC) submission for Classes X and XII will open shortly. Before that window opens, schools have been asked to have every student’s record clean and ready.
The message is blunt: check the details first, submit later. Errors made now tend to snowball into corrections, delays, and headaches during the exam itself.
Why CBSE registration and LOC submission 2027 needs early prep
CBSE points out that conducting board exams and declaring results on time depends on coordinated work at every level, packed into a short period. The two activities that set everything in motion are registration in Classes IX and XI and LOC submission in Classes X and XII. LOC, or List of Candidates, is the official roster a school files with the Board naming every student who will sit the exam, along with the subjects each has taken.
To make sure personal data and subjects are entered correctly, schools have been asked to keep the following ready.
Correct and updated student details
- Full name of the candidate, as per the admission register
- Date of birth of the candidate
- Gender
- Category (General/SC/ST/OBC, etc.)
- Full parent/guardian names, with correct spellings
Beyond these, two more requirements stand out:
- Subject-wise registration as per the scheme of studies
- Photograph and signature of each candidate in the specified format
The Board wants all candidate details thoroughly checked for accuracy before submission, since mistakes at this stage can create trouble later in the examination process.
The problems CBSE wants to stop repeating
The Board has been candid about what has gone wrong in recent exams. It listed the avoidable delays and operational trouble it has faced:
- Incorrect subject code or subject filled by schools, for which correction is sought after data is submitted
- Incorrect student or parent details, which again trigger correction requests
- Non submission of LOC of students
- Non submission of LOC within the required timeline
CBSE says schools were reminded several times to submit personal data and subjects correctly, yet errors kept turning up. Those errors, it notes, hurt the Board’s ability to hold timelines and run exams efficiently, and end up troubling candidates too.
