UGC-NET June 2026 Re-Exam Provisional Answer Key Challenge Window Open

UGC-NET June 2026 Re-Exam Provisional Answer Key Challenge Window Open

Sat for the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination? The National Testing Agency (NTA) has put up the provisional answer keys, and the window to challenge them is now live. Candidates who wrote the re-exam in English, Commerce and Sociology can check their recorded responses and flag any question they think is wrong, but only until 13 September 2026.

The re-examination was held across the country on 09 September 2026 and 10 September 2026 for these three subjects. With the keys now out, students have a short window to raise objections before the answers are finalised.

How to challenge the UGC-NET June 2026 answer key

Log in on the official website, view the provisional answer key alongside your own responses, and mark the questions you want to contest. Every challenge costs Rs. 200 per question. The good part: if the subject experts accept your challenge, that Rs. 200 comes back to you in full.

One thing to keep in mind. Challenges go through online mode only. Anything sent by email, fax or letter, or without the fee, gets rejected outright.

What happens after you challenge

Subject matter experts vet each objection. If a challenge holds up on merit, the answer key is corrected, and that correction applies to every candidate of that subject, not just the person who raised it. So there’s no point raising the same challenge twice.

NTA won’t reply to each candidate individually about their objection. Instead, the revised final answer key goes up on the website before results are declared. Once the challenge window shuts, or once results are out, no further grievance on the keys will be taken up.

The key finalised after this stage is treated as final, and responses get evaluated against it for the result.
