(IANS) There has been a rise in the number of cheating cases in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 board exams, the results of which were declared Friday, officials said. According to the spokesperson of CBSE, Rama Sharma, in comparison to 16 cases of cheating reported in 2009, this year there were 20.
The highest number of such cases, 11 of the 20, were reported from Delhi. Allahabad was next with four cases, Panchkula with two and Ajmer, Guwahati and Chennai each with a single case.
A total of 9,02,747 students registered for the CBSE Class 10 exams, which has adopted a new grading system for assessment from this year.
