CTET 2019 Exam on July 7: Check the Admit Card and Schedule

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be guided by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the 7th of July 2019. The board had released the admit card for the candidates on 23rd June.

As notified by the board, the number of candidates who have registered for Paper 1 is 8,17,892 whereas for Paper 2 the number is 4,27,897 and the ones who applied for both are 8,38,381. There has been a subsequent fall in the numbers as compared to the candidates who appeared in December 2018 examination.

Examination Papers Schedule

As per the reports, the examination is bound to be based entirely on an OMR sheet. There are two phases of the paper. The first paper i.e. Paper 1 is for primary teachers whereas Paper 2 is for upper primary ones.

The schedule for both the papers is as follows:

Paper 1: The examination is to be held in the morning slot from 9:30 AM to 12 PM with a total duration of 2:30 hours, and carries 150 marks. This paper is for candidates who are willing to teach classes 1 to V.

Paper 2: The examination is to be held in the afternoon slot from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM with a total duration of 2:30 hours and carries 150 marks. This paper is for candidates who are willing to teach classes VI to VIII.

CTET Passing Percentage

The exam requires at least 60% marks to be considered as CTET qualified candidate. The candidates will receive a pass certificate from the CBSE boards which can be used to apply for a teaching job. This certificate will be valid for a time period of seven years after which the candidate will be needed to reappear for the examination

Follow these simple steps to download your Admit Card:

1. Click on the link www.ctet.nic.in to visit the official website

2. Click on the " Download Admit Card" link at the bottom of the page

3. Now Click on " Download Admit Card through Application Number and Date of birth" link

4. Fill in your details required and Press Sign In

5. CBSE CTET 2019 admit card will be displayed on the screen. Download it or take out a printout.

The candidates can check out the admit card for more details about the examination procedure and the rules and regulation that must be followed before entering the examination hall.
