Students from Class VIII to XII will get a chance to hear directly from police trainers on how online fraud works and how to stay safe. CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to nominate students, and interested teachers, for a webinar on “Cyber Security and Online Fraud” being held on 6th August, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Schools that want in must send their willingness to the organisers on or before 04.08.2026.
The session is being run by the Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT), Bhopal, which works under the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. It is part of a Student Outreach Program.
What schools have to send
Schools willing to take part have to email the following details to CAPT, Bhopal at adindoor-capt@bprd.nic.in:
- Name of the School
- Board (CBSE/ICSE/MP State Board)
- Number of students
- Email Address
- Name of Nodal officer (Principal/Teacher) and mob. Number
Note the nodal officer bit. One teacher or the principal has to own the coordination, share a working mobile number, and make sure the class actually logs in on time.

Why the timing matters
Teenagers are the age group most exposed to gaming scams, fake job and prize messages, phishing links dressed up as bank alerts, and social media account takeovers. A talk from people who train police officers on cyber crime is a different thing from a classroom lecture, and that is the pitch here.
CBSE, the national school board under the Ministry of Education, has asked heads of schools to push wider participation among students, teachers and stakeholders. There is no fee mentioned and no cap on numbers in the notification, though schools do have to report how many students they are bringing.
The practical bit for principals: the willingness email goes out by 04.08.2026, and the class logs in at 11:00 AM on 6th August, 2026.
