CBSE will conduct the theory subject's compartment examination for class 10 from July 2 to July 10 and for class 12 the exam will be on Tuesday, 2nd July 2019. The practical exams for compartment students will be conducted by 30th June 2019. Class 10 will have its first compartment exam of science theory and, it will end with social science on July 10, Wednesday.

The timings for the compartment exams will be 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., except for two subject's exam to be conducted on 9 July 2019, Tuesday. The exam for foundation of IT (165) and Intro to Tourism (406) will be from 10:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. and 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. respectively. Students are advised to reach their respective examination hall 30 minutes before the examination for filling up the particulars in the answer booklet as it would be distributed around 10:00-10:15 A.M. Attendant superintendent will then check the particulars and sign the answer booklets. The question paper will be given 15 minutes earlier, i.e., at 10:15 A.M. So that the students can have a thorough reading of the questions before writing it and at 10:30 A.M. they can start writing.
Along with the theory exam, CBSE is also conducting practical exams for the ones who have compartment in the practical subjects. For the private candidates, if there is no prior notification by CBSE, the practical compartment exam will be conducted in the theory examination center only. The date and timing of the same is to be asked by the principal of the school of theory examination hall before the theory examination. For regular candidates, the said exam will be conducted at their respective school. The registration for appearing in the compartment exam was closed from 22nd May 2019 however; students can still apply to appear by submitting the application form with late fee.
