What NITTT is. The exam gives in-service training to inductee teachers in AICTE-approved institutions and checks their teaching skills. Performance is judged through continuous assignments and a final Internet Based, remote proctored test. Teachers must finish all phases within three years, and that completion is tied to confirmation of probation and eligibility for promotion.

Since a proctor watches remotely, the rules are strict. A few worth marking:

  • Human proctors monitor candidates throughout, including what shows on screen.
  • If the proctor spots suspicious eye movement or activity, the candidate may be asked over chat to turn the laptop or webcam to show the room. Keep the chat window open.
  • Ignoring repeated warnings can get the exam terminated for that candidate.
  • No sheets or papers are allowed for notes or rough work.

Candidates may keep only their admit card, a valid ID proof, and drinking water in a transparent bottle.
