CBSE WWF-India Wild Wisdom Online Quiz 2020, apply before August 5, 2020

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in association with WWF-India is organizing Wild Wisdom Quiz 2020 in Digital Mode. The Quiz will be held in the month of August 2020. The theme for the 2020 edition of the quiz is REIMAGINING OUR PLANET. The registrations for the quiz are open from June 2nd 2020 to 5th August 2020 for Primary (Class 3-5) and Middle (Class 6-8) Classes of schools affiliated with CBSE.

The Wild Wisdom Quiz is an attempt to provide a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into India’s amazing wildlife, gain knowledge and take pride in its natural diversity. This initiative aims to instil a sense of concern for the natural world and inspire our students to demonstrate their concern for conservation. It is being conducted in an online mode this year. The quiz will be held in two levels: Primary: (Classes 3-5) and  Middle (Classes 6-8)

The Preliminary Round of the quiz will be held on 9th August 2020 & the Final round on 16th August 2020. Students can prepare for the quiz through sample quizzes (having sets of 30 questions each) uploaded on the dashboard of WWF India website. Students can participate in the prelims and finale quiz by paying INR 50/- and filling the registration form using the link: https://quiz.wwfindia.org/student-registration

Every registered student will get the WWF newsletter-Wisdom Nuggets and a participation certificate. Participation in this quiz is voluntary. No record/document is required to be sent to the CBSE. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Question 1.: Who can register?
Answer: Students of Primary School (Class 3 - Class 5) & Middle School (Class 6 – Class 8) can register for Wild Wisdom Quiz 2020.

Question 2.: What is the registration fees?
Answer: Registration fee for Wild Wisdom Quiz is INR 50/-. However, students can pay additional INR 50/ -to purchase the quiz packs.

Question 3.: How many questions will be asked in the Preliminary level?
Answer: Prelims will have will consist of 30 questions, which will have a time limit of 10 minutes. Finale will have will consist of 50 questions, which will have a time limit of 20 minutes. The questions will be based on the Earth’s biomes and their key features - temperature, climate and location, common wildlife and flora, endangered/extinct species, adaptation etc.

Question 4.: What are the prizes for the winners?
Answer: Participant students will get an e-certificate signed by Sir David Attenborough personalised participation certificate and winners will get to play chess with the chess master Viswanathan Anand.
