Skill Education is now compulsory in Classes VI to VIII, and CBSE wants teachers trained before schools take it into the timetable. The Board is running free, in-person Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) in six cities between 5 August and 24 August 2026, built around the Kaushal Bodh activity books prepared by NCERT. Registration closes two days before each session, at 1:00 PM sharp.
The sessions are day-long. Each runs from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
CBSE has said clearly that Directors, Principals, Vice-Principals and teachers of affiliated schools must attend so that Skill Education can actually be put in place in their own classrooms, not just on paper.

What teachers should know before signing up
- Attending costs nothing. There is no fee for these Capacity Building Programmes.
- Travel and stay are on the participant. No TA/DA (travel allowance or dearness allowance) will be paid for attending.
- Carry the books. Participants have been asked to bring the NCERT Kaushal Bodh activity books along so the discussions stay practical.
- The Dhule window is the tightest, with registration shutting on 3rd August 2026 at 1:00 PM.
A quick word on what this training is about. Skill Education at the middle school stage introduces students to hands-on, work-related learning well before they pick subjects in Class IX, and the Kaushal Bodh activity books are NCERT’s material for running those activities in class. CBSE’s programme is meant to walk teachers through that material face to face, in offline mode, rather than leaving schools to work it out from a PDF.
Schools sending more than one teacher should sort out registrations early, since each city has its own cut-off and the form closes at 1:00 PM on the stated date. Any further queries go to the contact details given in the notification.
