School principals across CBSE-affiliated schools have a fresh set of dates to mark. The Board’s Department of Skill Education has released the schedule for its next round of Exposure Visits to well-known institutions and organisations, running through August and September 2026, and registration is open through an online form. Principals who go can claim up to Rs 10,000 towards travel and daily expenses, but only under conditions the Board has spelt out clearly.
The visits take principals inside leading institutions to see how they teach, how they run their systems, and what industry practice actually looks like on the ground. The larger idea is to tie Skill (Vocational) Education more tightly into regular school teaching.

The money part, and its limits
CBSE will reimburse Travelling Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) up to Rs 10,000 or the actual expenditure incurred, whichever is lower, to Principals of Government and Private Independent Schools. Certified hard copies of original bills and supporting documents are a must.
A few conditions decide who gets what:
- Reimbursement is admissible for only one Exposure Visit per Principal during an academic year.
- Principals who have not participated in any previous CBSE Exposure Visit get preference for participation.
- Principals who have already attended a CBSE Exposure Visit in any previous year are not eligible for TA/DA reimbursement.
Filling the form isn’t the same as getting a seat. Participation stands confirmed only after an official confirmation email arrives from CBSE.
Claim within 10 days, on paper only
The TA/DA claim, along with certified hard copies of the original bills, supporting documents, and a one-page report on the Exposure Visit, has to reach the Board within 10 days from the date of completion of the visit. Late claims are out. So are claims sent by email or any electronic mode.
Bills go to: The Professor & Director, Department of Skill Education, Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), 2nd Floor, CBSE Integrated Office Complex, 4, Sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi 110077.
One more catch on booking. Nominated participants may book air or train tickets only through Ashok Travels and Tours, Balmer Lawrie & Company Ltd, or IRCTC. Book anywhere else and the airfare or train fare will not be entertained.
