CBSE Sets 4 Kaushal Vikas Teacher Trainings From 8 August

Class IX skill teachers have four training days coming up this month, and schools have been told to send the right people. CBSE will run face-to-face Capacity Building Programmes on the Kaushal Vikas textbook at four venues between 8 August 2026 and 13 August 2026. Attendance is free, and teachers can approach the host schools directly.

Each session runs a full working day, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

The Board has said schools must make sure the teachers who actually teach Kaushal Vikas to Class IX attend, so that the subject is rolled out properly in classrooms. This is a continuation of an earlier round of programmes announced by CBSE for the same textbook.

What teachers should do before they go

  • Confirm participation with the venue school in advance. CBSE has asked for this so the host school can sort out logistics for the day.
  • Carry the NCERT Kaushal Vikas textbook. The Board wants participants to have the book in hand for the discussions.
  • Contact the venue school directly using the phone number or email listed against that date.

Two money points, stated plainly in the notification. There is no fee for attending. And no TA/DA, the travel and daily allowance that government programmes sometimes reimburse, will be paid to participants, so travel costs sit with the teacher or the school.

Kaushal Vikas is the skill education textbook brought in for Class IX under the school curriculum, and Capacity Building Programmes, usually shortened to CBPs, are CBSE’s standard one-day teacher training sessions run through host schools rather than at the Board’s own offices.

Queries go to the contact person for the relevant venue. Teachers who plan to attend the Gurugram session have the shortest runway, with the date falling on 8th August 2026.
