One date on CBSE’s West Bengal skill training calendar has moved. The Board has revised the schedule of the Capacity Building Programme on the ‘Kaushal Vikas’ textbook at Garden High School, Haringhata Farm, which will now be held on 11 August 2026, a Tuesday. The venue is untouched. Only the day has changed.
The correction applies to a single centre. CBSE had earlier notified a schedule of Capacity Building Programmes on the ‘Kaushal Vikas’ textbook at various locations in West Bengal, and this revision replaces the date fixed for the Garden High School session. In the Board’s words, “All other details with respect to the venue remain unchanged.”

It is a full working day, from nine in the morning to half past five in the evening. Schools that had already marked the older date in their diaries will need to redo their teacher deputation and substitution arrangements for 11 August.
What schools and teachers should do now
- Update the training date to 11th August 2026 (Tuesday) in the school calendar and inform the teachers who were nominated for this session.
- Plan class coverage for the whole day, since the programme runs 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

What a Capacity Building Programme is
Capacity Building Programmes are CBSE’s in-service training sessions for teachers. They are run face to face at host schools, with resource persons taking participants through the content, classroom methods and assessment of a particular subject or textbook. The ‘Kaushal Vikas’ textbook sits within the Board’s skill education stream, which puts hands-on, work-related learning alongside regular academic subjects.
Sessions at the other West Bengal venues stand as originally notified. Only Garden High School, Haringhata Farm, has a new date: 11 August 2026.
