Teachers who handle the Horticulture skill subject have a training date to mark. CBSE will run a one-day, in-person capacity building programme for the skill subject Horticulture (816) on 31 August 2026, and registration closes days before that. Who must attend, and what the Board is offering
The training is meant for teachers of schools that already offer Horticulture (816) or are going to introduce it. For teachers of CBSE affiliated schools currently teaching this skill subject, attending on the stipulated date is mandatory.
A few practical points worth knowing:
- The programme is offline. No online option is mentioned.
- There is no participation fee.
- The Board will not pay any TA/DA (travel or daily allowance), so teachers cover their own costs.
- Certificates come only after the Board confirms your actual participation.
Horticulture is one of the vocational skill subjects CBSE offers so students can learn hands-on trades alongside regular schooling. Capacity building sessions like this one train the teachers who deliver that curriculum in the classroom.
