CBSE Flags 5-Day Online NEP 2020 Training, Starts 27 July

Teachers looking to sharpen their grip on inclusive schooling have a week-long online class lined up. CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to spread the word about a five-day live training programme on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, built around one theme: reaching students from Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs). It runs from 27 to 31 July 2026, and anyone keen has to register first.

The programme, titled “NEP 2020: Empowering SEDGs”, marks the sixth anniversary of the policy. It’s being conducted by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Sessions are short and daily. Each one runs from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm, live, online.

What will they actually cover? The training walks participants through the educational needs of SEDGs and the parts of NEP 2020 meant to make schooling fair and inclusive. Topics on the table include Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), the Gender Inclusion Fund, Special Education Zones, inclusive pedagogy, technology-enabled learning, and institutional support systems.
