As you are aware that the scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and Grading System was introduced by Central Board of Secondary Education at Secondary Stage in all schools affiliated to it from the academic session 2009-2010. The detailed information about the same has been given to schools from time to time through different circulars which are also available on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in.
In this system, student's performance has been assessed using conventional numerical marking mode, and the same have been converted into the grades on the basis of pre-determined marks ranges.
The "Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance" issued by the Board for Secondary School Examination (Session 2015-2017) shall have only grades.
However, it has been informed by the Maharashtra Government, that they will be using only marks to decide admission in Class XI. In order that the student passing out of CBSE affiliated schools and seeking admission in Maharashtra State institution in Class XI do not suffer, the following facilities have been made:-
The CBSE will give marks of Class X Board Examination 2017 to all its affiliated schools in Maharashtra to enable them to put the same on the students application forms for admission to Colleges in Maharashtra in Class XI.
In addition to this, for the students of CBSE affiliated schools outside Maharashtra State but seeking admission in Maharashtra State Board schools in Class XI, the following five schools have been identified as Guidance Centres to enable such students to fill up their forms:-

The students applying from outside Maharashtra State will be helped by these Guidance Centres in filling up the forms.
As in the past, in case of any offline filling up the application forms, the certification of marks by the respective Principal based on data provided by the CBSE will be accepted by the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Government of Maharashtra.
