When the exam was held
NTA ran the UGC-NET June 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 June 2026 and 05 July 2026. The exam covered 87 subjects and was held at 655 examination centres across 286 cities in the country.
Before the result, the question paper, provisional answer keys, and recorded responses for the 84 subjects were put up on the NTA website from 16 August 2026 to 18 August 2026 so candidates could raise objections. Experts checked every challenge received, and the results were processed on the finalised answer keys.

Three subjects still pending, exam to be re-held
Here’s the catch for some of you. NTA will re-conduct the exam for three subjects, English, Commerce and Sociology, on 09 September 2026 and 10 September 2026. Candidates from these three subjects may see an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they try to open the UGC-NET June 2026 scorecard right now. Their result will be released only after the re-conduct is done. So if you appeared in English, Commerce or Sociology, hold on until your fresh exam is over.
