Technical teachers sitting the NITTT exam this cycle will write it from home, not a test centre. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) Examination for the April-May 2026 Semester will run in Internet-Based Remote Proctored (IBRP) Mode across four days, starting 31 July 2026. Admit cards are already on the exam website, and candidates need to finish a system check before they log in.
The exam will be held on 31 July, 1 August, 7 August, and 8 August 2026.
Who is appearing
A total of 2,629 unique candidates will take the examination. Because the test covers several modules, those candidates add up to 10,201 test attempts.
What candidates must do
NTA has asked candidates to download their Admit Cards from the designated website https://nittt.nta.ac.in/ and read the instructions on it carefully. Three things on that instruction sheet matter most:

The system compatibility check and the login process are mandatory. NTA wants both done well before the exam starts, not minutes before the paper opens.

A dedicated helpdesk has been set up to sort out technical problems for candidates, both before and during the examination. NTA says it has put technical and proctoring arrangements in place so that the exam is conducted in a fair, transparent, and secure manner.
A quick word on NITTT
NITTT is a training programme for teachers in technical institutions, delivered module by module, with an examination at the end of each set of modules. Candidates clear it in stages rather than in one sitting, which is why a single batch of 2,629 people generates more than ten thousand attempts.
Remote proctored mode means no travel, no reporting time at a hall, no hunting for a centre in an unfamiliar city. It also shifts the burden onto the candidate’s own internet connection and computer. That is exactly why the compatibility check exists.
