Kendriya Vidyalaya

Implementation of Right to Education Act in Kendriya Vidyalaya is now reflecting in it’s policies. Kendriya Vidayalaya Sangathan (KVS) Head Quarter in New Delhi, has issued a notification to all Regional offices regarding implementation of Right to Education Act in KVS. It follows as below:

The Government of India has made Gazette Notification of. The Right to Education Act (RTE) 2009 and it has become effective from 1st April 2010. Article 16 of Chapter 4 of RTE Act states that no child admitted in a school shall be held back in any class or expelled from school till the completion of elementary education.

In this context, it is stated that some Articles of KVS Education Code are under review so that these Articles no longer contradict or impede various Articles of RTE Act 2009. You are requested to inform Principals of all the Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning in your Region not to issue T.C. or to detain the students of Classes I to VIII, who have failed, till the outcome of the review.
