Schools working with CBSE have a clear message from the Board this week: get the paperwork right, and do it early. The Central Board of Secondary Education has already begun the List of Candidates (LOC) process for the Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Examinations 2027, and it will soon open Registration for students in Classes IX and XI. To walk principals and teachers through it all, CBSE held a live webinar titled “Relevance of Registration & LOC” at its Integrated Office in Dwarka, New Delhi.
CBSE Registration and LOC 2027: the processes now underway
The LOC is the list of students a school submits for the Class X and Class XII Board Examinations. Registration covers students entering Classes IX and XI. Both processes together touch students in nearly 32,000 CBSE-affiliated schools across India and 26 countries.
The webinar continued CBSE’s earlier circulars on LOC submission for the Class X and Class XII Board Examinations 2027 and on correcting students’ demographic details. The Board asked schools to check for accuracy at every stage, and to help students and parents wherever they get stuck.
Schools were told to sort out problems well ahead of time. The idea is simple: students should stay focused on studies, not chase avoidable procedural errors close to the exams.
Live Q&A: what principals and teachers asked
A large part of the session was a live question-and-answer round. Senior CBSE officials took questions sent in by principals and teachers. The Controller of Examinations also made a presentation on the main points of the Registration and LOC process.
The questions clustered around a few practical worries:
- Correction of student particulars
- Selection and change of subjects
- Submission and verification of LOC data
- Registration of students in Classes IX and XI
- Fee-related provisions
The Board pressed on timely, accurate submission of Registration and LOC data. That means getting student particulars and subject combinations right, following the fee rules, and correctly applying the provisions for Children with Special Needs (CWSN).
Where to check for updates
The programme was live-streamed on CBSE’s official YouTube channel, with wide participation from students, parents and other stakeholders. More than 450 school principals and educators joined in person at the CBSE Integrated Office, Dwarka.
CBSE has asked everyone to keep checking the Board’s official website, www.cbse.gov.in, for authentic and updated information on Registration, LOC and the Board Examinations. Registration for Classes IX and XI has not opened yet, so schools should watch that page for the start date.
