Teachers who handle the Kaushal Vikas textbook in CBSE schools across Punjab now have a training schedule to plan around. The board will run a set of Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) in face-to-face, offline mode across 16 host schools in the state, starting 8 September 2026 and running through 30 September 2026. There is no fee, and each session runs a single day.
The programmes focus on the Kaushal Vikas textbook, and schools have been told to send the teachers who actually teach this subject to Class IX.
What the CBSE Kaushal Vikas Capacity Building Programme covers
Kaushal Vikas is the skill education textbook brought out by NCERT. Capacity Building Programmes are the board’s regular teacher training sessions, meant to help teachers deliver a subject well in their own classrooms. In this round, every session is being held in person at a host school rather than online.
A few instructions apply to everyone attending:
- Schools must make sure the teachers teaching Kaushal Vikas to Class IX take part, so the subject is delivered properly.
- Reporting time at the venue is 7:30 AM.
- Training timings are 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- There is no fee to attend.
- No TA/DA (travel or daily allowance) will be paid to participants.
- Participants must carry the NCERT Kaushal Vikas textbook to the session.
- Teachers should contact the venue school directly and confirm their participation so the host can plan the logistics.
