Class IX skill teachers, block out a day this month. CBSE is running free, in-person training on the Kaushal Vikas textbook across eight schools between 18 and 22 August 2026. Every teacher who takes Kaushal Vikas in Class IX is expected to attend the session nearest to them, and schools have been told to make sure their teachers turn up.
The sessions run in face-to-face mode, not online. Each one starts at 9:00 AM and wraps up at 5:30 PM.
What the CBSE Kaushal Vikas Capacity Building Programme covers
Kaushal Vikas is the skill education textbook brought out by NCERT for Class IX. These Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) are meant to help teachers deliver it well in their own classrooms. Teachers have been asked to carry the NCERT Kaushal Vikas textbook to the venue so the discussions stay practical.
There’s no fee to attend. One thing worth flagging: no TA/DA (travel or daily allowance) will be paid to participants, so teachers cover their own travel.

What teachers must do
Participation isn’t automatic. Teachers can reach out to the venue schools directly and, importantly, must confirm attendance in advance so the host school can arrange logistics. Pick the venue that suits you, call the coordinator listed against that date, and confirm your seat before you travel.
Schools running Kaushal Vikas in Class IX should ensure the concerned teachers attend at least one of these dates. For anything unclear, teachers should contact the venue coordinator listed for their chosen date.
