Class 12 students who sat the CBSE compartment exams now have a clear window to challenge their marks. With the Class XII Supplementary Examination, 2026 result declared, CBSE has opened its post-result facilities, and the whole thing runs online. The first move is simple: ask for the scanned copy of your evaluated answer book. That request opens on 31 August 2026.
Everything here works in a fixed order. You cannot jump straight to verification or re-evaluation. First you see your paper, then you decide whether to fight for more marks.

Miss the window and you are out. CBSE has said plainly that no application will be accepted after the scheduled date and time, and nothing offline will be entertained.
How the two stages work
Stage one is the scanned copy. Students request the evaluated answer book of the subject they want, log in, and get the scan in their own account. The identity of the examiner and other officials is blocked out. The board says it will try to send scans on a first-come, first-served basis, so early applicants get their copies first.
Stage two is where you act on what you see. Only candidates who applied for the scanned copy can go on to apply for:
- Verification of marks
- Re-evaluation
- Both verification and re-evaluation
A few rules matter here. Re-evaluation is accepted only for the theory portion, and it is done for the full question, not a part of it. Before applying, students must check the marking scheme and question paper, both available on the CBSE website, and give reasoning for each question they want re-checked. Only one application per step per candidate goes through.
Marks can go down, not just up
Read this part carefully. A decrease of marks, even by one mark, will be affected. If your marks change either way, you have to surrender the Mark Statement cum Certificate you hold and collect a fresh one. On the bright side, the fee is refunded to the same account if verification or re-evaluation raises your marks. The result of re-evaluation is final, and no appeal or review against it will be entertained.
Pay online only
The processing fee can be paid only through UPI, Credit or Debit Card, or Net Banking. Postal orders, demand drafts, money orders, cheques and cash will not be accepted.
CBSE has also asked students and parents to ignore rumours and unverified social media posts about the result process and to rely only on the official website, www.cbse.gov.in. Applications that do not follow the instructions will be rejected without any correspondence, so fill the form correctly the first time.
