The wait is over for lakhs of Class 12 candidates who sat the compartment and improvement papers this year. CBSE has declared the Class XII Supplementary Examination, 2026 results, and students can check their scores right away on the DigiLocker Results Portal at https://results.digilocker.gov.in/.
More than 2.9 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. This year’s numbers also carry some good news: the pass percentage in the compartment category climbed sharply.
Who the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Result 2026 covers
The supplementary exam was held for three groups of Class 12 students:
- Compartment candidates: those who could not secure the qualifying marks in one of the five mandatory subjects.
- Candidates with six subjects: students already declared passed by replacing a main subject with an additional subject, but who wanted another attempt at the main subject they had not cleared.
- Improvement candidates: students who had already passed but wished to better their score in one subject.

The compartment pass rate is a big jump. Last year, in 2025, only 38.36% of compartment candidates had cleared. This time it stands at 53.08%.
How to get your marksheet
Schools will receive their school-wise results on their registered email addresses. They can also pull the digital academic documents of their students from the repository using the credentials CBSE has already given them.
Students of CBSE-affiliated schools abroad can access both their results and digital academic documents through DigiLocker.
On printed documents:
- Printed MarkSheet-cum-Passing Certificates of regular students, including those studying abroad, will come through their respective schools.
- Private candidates get their digital academic documents on DigiLocker, and printed copies are sent to their registered addresses.
- Private candidates under the Delhi East and Delhi West Regional Offices may collect their printed documents from the examination centres where they appeared.
Post-result options and help
Details of post-result facilities will be notified separately through an official circular, so candidates unhappy with a score should watch for that update.
