CBSE Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals 2026: School Visit Booking Details

Rashtrapati Bhavan is throwing open its gardens, and CBSE wants school students in on it. The Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2026 will welcome the public from 16 August to 15 September 2026, and the Board has asked affiliated schools to plan visits so students can walk through the President’s gardens for themselves. Bookings are online only, and there’s a hard cut-off you can’t miss.

The gardens open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the last entry at 5:00 pm. They stay shut every Monday.

CBSE Amrit Udyan 2026: dates, timings and who can visit

For the general public, the window runs the full month between 16 August and 15 September 2026. For school and college groups, the gardens are open Tuesday to Sunday, and CBSE recommends Tuesday to Friday as the visiting days. Suggested entry slots for schools are 10 AM to 11 AM, 11 AM to 12 PM, and 3 PM to 4 PM.

Two dates are set aside for special groups:

Date Occasion Open for
29 August 2026 National Sports Day Sports persons only
5 September 2026 Teachers’ Day Teachers only

Entry on these two days is allowed with a valid identity card.

How schools book Amrit Udyan visits

All tickets must be booked online. No offline or on-the-spot booking is permitted. A booking for any given day closes at 10:00 AM on the previous day, and reservations must be made at least 24 hours before the visit date.

Schools have three ways to book:

  • Online through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website at https://rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in, following the “Amrit Udyan” link under the “Visit” tab (Visit > Delhi > Amrit Udyan)
  • Email at udyanutsav-rb@rb.nic.in
  • Call on +91-92058 55997

A few rules to note. A maximum of 100 students can go on a single booking; larger groups need a separate booking. Once done, schools get a confirmation carrying a QR coded entry ticket. Each accompanying teacher should keep this QR code on their phone to let students in. Students are expected to visit in proper school uniform only.

Schools can also book slots for the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. Museum tickets are free for students, but they must be booked separately and in advance.

Entry, itinerary and what to carry

Entry is through Gate No. 35 of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on North Avenue Road. Groups should reach the gate as per the slot they have booked. The full visit is planned for about 3 hours 30 minutes, covering QR scanning at the gate, a 90-minute garden tour, an optional museum walk, and a departure stop where students collect button badges or seed paper.

Allowed items: mobile phones, wallets or purses or hand-bags, water bottles and umbrellas.

Not allowed: eatables, paan, gutka, cigarettes, backpacks, cameras, video cameras, and arms and ammunition.

This year’s garden brings new features, including indigenous summer flowering plants, a Babbling Brook, and a working Floral Clock, along with QR coded information for the floral species on display. For anything more on the visit, schools can write to udyanutsav-rn@rb.nic.in.
