Students sitting for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 exam can now download their admit cards. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the hall tickets on its dedicated portal, and candidates need only their Application Number and Password to get them. The exam itself is just days away.
The test runs on 17 July 2026 and 18 July 2026 across two shifts. Which paper falls on which day, and at what time, depends on your subject. Check the table below carefully before you plan your travel.
| Exam date | Subject | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| 17 July 2026 | Life Sciences | 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
| 17 July 2026 | Mathematical Sciences | 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM |
| 17 July 2026 | Physical Sciences | 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM |
| 18 July 2026 | Chemical Sciences | 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
| 18 July 2026 | Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences | 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
How to get the admit card:
- Go to https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/
- Log in with your Application Number and Password
- Download and take a clear printout
The admit card will not arrive by post. It’s the candidate’s job to fetch it online.
A few points worth remembering. The admit card is issued provisionally, which means it is subject to you meeting the eligibility conditions. Getting the card does not by itself confirm that your eligibility has been accepted; that gets checked again at later stages of the admission process. Do not scribble on the card, tear it, or alter anything printed on it. And hold on to a copy in good shape even after the exam, in case you need it later.
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is a Computer Based Test (CBT) that decides which Indian nationals qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor with admission to Ph.D., or admission to Ph.D. only, at universities and colleges across the country.
