CBSE Skill Education Training for Classes 6-8 Teachers in July

CBSE Skill Education Training for Classes 6-8 Teachers in July

Teachers who handle Classes 6 to 8 in CBSE schools have four training dates to note this July. The board is running free, in-person Capacity Building Programmes to help schools roll out Skill Education, which is now compulsory for these grades. The sessions run in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and participants have to confirm their seats with the host school beforehand.

The training is built around the Kaushal Bodh activity books that NCERT has prepared for Classes 6 to 8. Anyone attending is asked to carry these books along, since the day’s discussions are based on them.

Here is who should show up: Directors, Principals, Vice-Principals and teachers from CBSE affiliated schools. The board wants them trained so Skill Education can actually take off in their own classrooms.

What participants should keep in mind

  • There is no fee to attend.
  • No TA/DA (travel or daily allowance) will be paid.
  • Contact the venue school directly to take part.
  • Confirm your participation with the venue school so it can plan the logistics.
  • Carry the NCERT Kaushal Bodh activity books to the session.

Skill Education gives students hands-on exposure to work-related skills alongside their regular subjects. With it now mandatory in the middle grades, teachers need to know how to teach these modules well, and that is what these four sessions set out to do. Teachers keen on any of the venues should call the listed contact person and lock their spot before the training day.
