Every CBSE school has a new task lined up for 7 October 2026. The board wants all teaching and non-teaching staff to sit together and watch a short video on Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs (CwSN). It runs for 30 minutes. The idea is simple: help the people who run a school, from teachers to drivers and aayahs, understand what children with disabilities actually need.
This CBSE Inclusive Education sensitization module for school staff is part of the wider PRASHAST Screening Initiative, which schools have been using this year to spot probable disabilities in students early and arrange timely help.
What the CBSE Inclusive Education module covers
The video is a 30-minute sensitization and orientation module built to grow empathy and an inclusive attitude among school staff. CBSE says it was prepared on directions from the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education. Once staff watch it, they should be better placed to understand the day-to-day needs and struggles of Children with Special Needs and respond with respect inside the classroom and outside it.
Here are the key details schools need:

Who must attend
CBSE has drawn the net wide. This isn’t only for teachers. The circular lists teaching and non-teaching staff: aayahs, drivers, clerical staff, receptionists, deans, wardens, the Head of School, and other support personnel. Everyone who works on campus is expected to view it.
Principals and Heads have been asked to plan the screening so staff can take part without disrupting regular school work. CBSE has also said the number of schools that view the module will show up at the national level, so participation will be tracked.
Schools should log in to the PRASHAST portal ahead of 7 October 2026, locate the video under the Headmaster login, and arrange a slot where the full staff can watch together.
