The school was founded in the year 1926 of English calendar by a wealthy, great visionary, an outstanding philanthropist, Raibahadur Sri Abinash chandra bondopadhaya from his own coffer solely guided by the ideal of reaching the virtue of an easy and affordable education to the door-steps of vast majority of impoverished and illiterate rural folks; together with empowering them with self supporting earning skill like carpentry, weaving, art of black smith and modern method of high yielding farming by inclusion as co-curriculum. His amazing farsightedness led him to set up irrigation canal, then an unheard phenomenon, to help irrigate crop during dry season. The school, its whole elaborate and enabling infrastructure was meticulously planned by himself and put in place to achieve his unique self-actualization dream. ~ by Shaikh Abdus Samad
