In a significant step to streamline the process for availing exemptions and facilities for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) in the Board Examinations 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has enhanced its online system. This move follows the CBSE's earlier directive (letter No. CBSE/Coord/LOC Correction//2023 dated 03.01.2024) instructing schools to update the status of CWSN students through the "Pariksha Sangam" portal.

Every academic year, numerous CWSN students approach the CBSE requesting facilities and exemptions as per the Board's regulations during the examinations. To address this need more efficiently, the CBSE has made provisions for schools to submit these requests through the online portal, as practiced in the previous year.

Schools can now log in to the portal using their designated ID and password. Upon logging in, they will be presented with a list of their CWSN students along with the permissible facilities for each category of disability. Schools are then required to select the desired facilities for their students, ensuring that these details are included in the admit cards. This process allows the centre superintendent to be informed in advance, facilitating necessary arrangements for the CWSN students.

The web link for this facility is readily accessible in the "Pariksha Sangam" portal. Schools with CWSN students who wish to avail of these facilities must fill in the details and upload the necessary documents on the portal. The window for this submission is open from 19.01.2024 (Friday) to 24.01.2024 (Wednesday). It's crucial to note that requests sent earlier to the CBSE for exemptions must also be uploaded during this period.

In a firm stance to ensure efficiency and organization, the CBSE has declared that no requests for exemptions will be entertained after 24.01.2024 and strictly no offline requests will be considered. This new online process is a testament to CBSE's commitment to providing equal opportunities and necessary support to CWSN students, ensuring a fair and accommodating examination experience.
