The school claims to have founded in 1974. But it opened in 1988 and we joined there in 1989.I studied there for 10 years.The teachers there were rude and unkind. They did not listen to any problem of the student . I had problems in Spoken English and this was often humiliated by the teachers. Teachers tend to give you less marks if you didn't avail private tuition from them.They used to create barrier between peer group. Some teachers like Rajul mam, Indrani mam , Mahamaya mam were only impartial. Others were exceptionally rude and partial in their approach. Thankfully, I finally managed to get into Scottish Church College as an Assistant Professor. But looking back, my memories with DAV is nightmarish. My parents , both of whom passed away, were obdurate enough to make me study in the School, despite repeated complaints from my part. ~ by Rajarshi Mukherjee
