Earthquake in Maryland

The _pre and post consequences_ of earthquakes are _dangerous in any kind of intensity/strength_ of the earthquakes. The _Maryland is not an exception_ to this fact!

Although, the _tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes,_ account for _heavier damages_ in the United States of America, severe earthquakes occur more often resulting in _sudden loss of lives_ and property. The _central and eastern regions_ of the United States of America too get affected, besides the most often prone Pacific coast regions, such as _Alaska, Southern California,_ etc… Maryland was frequently affected by the earthquakes that in general had happened in the adjacent states. But, in the year 1984, a major _earthquake of magnitude 4.1_ was measured on the _Richer scale_ and it was felt mostly in the northern parts of the state, causing the windows to crack, and pushing up the _wall hanging things_ to the ground, etc… Four days, earlier to this a _foreshock_ had happened at a _magnitude of 3_ on the Richter scale, and _ten aftershocks_ were also felt with the magnitude, _ranging from 2 to 2.5_ on the Richter scale. In the late 1993’s, some 47 earthquakes did happen in the state, followed with many earthquakes, thereby increasing the total up to 61. Hence, earthquakes of such magnitudes are considered to be _very mild_ and said to have _very less strength_ too, but still the consequences of the damages and the aftershock effects are quite significant even in the cases of such earthquakes. Even in the year 2007, 2009, and 2005… the earthquakes are felt, but not got registered with any significant magnitude on the Richter scale.
