The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was conceived on 16 November 1945. UNESCO has 195 Members and 8 Associate Members and is administered by the General Conference and the Executive Board. The Secretariat, headed by the Director-General, actualizes the choices of these two bodies. The Organization has more th 50 field workplaces around the globe and its central command are situated in Paris.
