NTA National Testing Agency

National Testing Agency or NTA is a premier and autonomous testing organization which is responsible for conducting entrance examinations for getting admission or fellowship in higher educational institutions. Established in the November of 2017, the NTA depends upon research based recruitment and matches international standards of examination.

Objectives
The body is responsible for conducting transparent and efficient standards of tests so that the competency of the candidates can be assessed for admission and recruitment purposes. It also undertakes research on various professional, educational and testing systems to identify the gaps in various knowledge systems and taking adequate measures to fill in the gaps. To identify the best people for setting the examination questions and producing and disseminating research and information based on professional and educational standards of development are some of the other objectives.

Functions
The main function of the institution is to identify the institutions with which it will partner for facilitating the holding of online examinations. The body is also responsible for creating a question bank and establishing a strong Research and Development culture for different aspects of testing. It also helps the colleges and universities in the field of testing. They address all issues starting from preparation of tests to its marking and delivery.
