National Institute of Fashion Technology, is an Institute of Design, Management, and Technology in the International fashion business. This is a group of fashion colleges in India, established in the year 1986. It comes under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It has 16 campuses and the main campus being NIFT Hyderabad and NIFT Kannur.
It offers a four-year undergraduate course as well as a two-year postgraduate course in Design Management and Technology. To acquire admission in Bachelor of Design (B. Des) and Master of Design (M. Des), students should participate in a written admission test. The first one is Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the second one being a General Ability Test (GAT). It organizes entrance exams on its own.
After appearing in the written test, the rank list will be prepared for the eligible candidates. These are the courses offered under the Bachelor’s program.
