KVS Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was founded in 1963 for catering to the educational requirements of transferable employees of Central Government of India. These central schools form the system of central government that operates under the administration of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). These cater to Paramilitary, Defence, floating populations, and also those who live in underdeveloped and remote locations of the nation. There are about 1205 Kendriya Vidyalayas spread across 25 different regions, including Jammu, across the country which is lead by the deputy commissioner. Furthermore, there are three Kendriya Vidyalayas located outside India in Tehran, Kathmandu, and Moscow. Their headquarters is located in New Delhi, India.
KVS strives to promote experimentation and innovation by collaborating with educational bodies such as the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Central Board of Secondary Education. These are co-educational and composite schools which are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. All the KVS schools have the same standard syllabus and deliver bilingual instructions in Hindi and English respectively. Boys are exempted from tuition fees up to Class VII and girls up to Class XII. Students from SC/ST category and children of KVS staff members are also released from paying tuition fees. Those who are liable for paying fees can pay from online KVS fee challan form which is available on their official website.
