Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS) is also known as Central Institute of Hindi is an autonomous institute that was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute was founded in the year 1960 and is run by  Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal which is an autonomous organization. Apart from its headquarters in Agra, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan has its centers in Hyderabad, Delhi, Shillong, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Dimapur, Ahmedabad, and Mysore.  

Kendriya Hindi Sansthan strives to propagate the Hindi language on a national and international level by establishing it as a medium of multi-cultural Indian society. The Institute is recognized worldwide for imparting knowledge, training, and research related to the Hindi language. KHS offers more than 26 programs and has imparted knowledge to the thousands of international students from as many as 71 countries through its scheme of Propagation of Hindi Abroad.

KHS delivers courses such as Hindi Teachers Training Programs, Research and Development Programs, Vocational Courses, International Hindi Teaching Program, short-term orientation and refresher courses, among many others. KHS also organizes workshops and seminars on the Hindi language, literature, language technology at its centers. Besides, the Institute has affiliated with many colleges and universities where they conduct Institute’s courses. Kendriya Hindi Sansthan admission forms are made available on their official website and are accessible only through online mode. Candidates need to undergo a written exam before getting admitted to the Institute for most of the courses.
