The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages or CIEFL is an institute of importance, providing higher education in English and various other foreign languages. Established in Hyderabad in the year 1958, CIEFL is a one of a kind university in India, teaching English and other languages like Russian, Spanish, Arabic, French, Japanese and German.
Objectives
A brainchild of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the primary objective of this central university is to impart the best education in various disciplines and sub-disciplines of English and other foreign languages. It works towards disseminating and advancing knowledge by providing research and development in the languages and also ensures good facilities in teaching English and other foreign languages and literature in India.
