The Cambridge Assessment has a history of around 150 years. Starting the journey in the year 1858, The University of Cambridge, formed the Local Examinations Syndicate, which is now known as the Cambridge Assessment. It has 3 exam boards now.
Objectives
The main objective of the body is to ensure that educational integrity should be the core of every kind of learning. The tests and the qualifications should be capable of checking the knowledge and understanding of the knowledge of the individual.
The teaching methodology should follow a collaborative, innovative and responsible lifestyle.
Functions
Cambridge Assessment International Education is responsible for the functioning of the three above-mentioned bodies of education. The body is also responsible for assessment and evaluation of various examinations held under it, especially in the schools, spread all over the world. It also helps the students to develop a passion for learning and an informed curiosity, by making the curriculum more interactive and practice oriented.
