CBSE to conduct Class X Proficiency Test from Apr 20 onwards

The Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) has been conducting optional Proficiency Test for class-X students in all the five main subjects for the past few years. The performance in this test indicates levels of learning of students in respective subjects and provides feedback to schools for setting goals, priorities and targets in their future educational processes and practices. The response from schools has been encouraging as well as satisfying.

The key testing elements of this test include comparing, classifying, solving, translating, interpreting, analysing, synthesising, creating, justifying and evaluating.

Key Features of Proficiency Test

Monday 20th April,2015 English
Tuesday 21st April,2015 Mathematics
Wednesday 22nd April,2015 Science
Thursday 23rdApril,2015 Social Science
Friday 24th April,2015 Hindi

Format of the Question Paper

The following salient points for taking the tests may be taken note of:

  1. Only those students are allowed to take the proposed test (s) who have applied through the schools and paid requisite fee.
  2. A student will have to appear from the same city/place where his/her school is located. The examination will be conducted only at pre-decided centres as per Class-X Board examination.
  3. The timings of the test will be from 10.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. in every subject.
