CBSE to announce Class X results for Chennai region today

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce Class X results for Chennai division on May 31, Tuesday. But, students of other regions will have to wait for another couple of days. Sources claim that the result could be announced on June 2.

Officials at CBSE admit that announcement of results has been delayed, but do not want to comment over the issue. Off the record they put the blame on introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) this year.

In Lucknow, there are some 75 schools affiliated to the CBSE. A large majority of students in these schools have opted for the year-round assessment under CCE, the remaining have gone with the board. But, both the groups are anxiously waiting for their results. Traditionally, high school (class X) and intermediate (class XII) results are announced by the board latest by May 28.
