Training Programme on Media Studies at NCERT

Published 13 years ago

Media Studies

Many government and non government schools have taken initiatives to make media as part of school curriculum. If media is to become part of school curriculum enabling transformation both in curriculum and teaching, then teachers needs to be oriented in this new subject. Hence four training programmes of 3-days each are organized at CIET, NCERT from August – November to impart training to teachers on media studies. The tentative dates for the training programes are as follows:

Each programme will have 25 participants.

After the training programme, teachers will not only be able to teach media as a subject but will also be sensitized in integrating media with other subjects. The workshop will also motivate them to start media clubs in their school.

Schools can choose the options mentioned above as per their convenience and commitments and depute teachers accordingly. Admission will be given on the first come first serve basis.

Once the subject is launched at national level all these teachers will act as Master trainers and will support us in taking this initiative forward with great zeal and fervor. We are sure involvement with media will be renewing for many teachers as they will touch on subject that is so much a part of students’ lives.

Schools can fill up these registration forms and send it to CIET NCERT by post or through email at the earliest. This form is also available at CIETwebsite (http://ciet.nic.in/workshops10_1.php. Teachers can also register online for the training programme.

Teachers may contact Dr. Anubhuti yadav, co-ordinator of this programme on 9868942789 or by email (ayadav2003@yahoo.co.in) for more information.
