No Board Exam in Class VIII in Haryana

Haryana has done away with board exams for Class VIII in schools. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by Board of School Education (Haryana) chairperson Surina Rajan here on Thursday, an official spokesman said. The Board also decided to make it mandatory to get 33 per cent marks for pass in written examination. Earlier, it was not mandatory.
