In order to bring awareness and propel schools towards having functional, accessible and well maintained toilets, the Ministry of Human Resource Development in collaboration with Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation is conducting Swachhathon 1.0-The Swachh Bharat Hackathon. Swachhathon 1.0 is an event to crowd source solutions for the pressing issues pertaining to Sanitation and Hygiene.
Innovative, novel and viable solutions in the following fields are invited from the schools: 1. Innovative models and methods to improve the operation and maintenance of school toilets 2. Innovative solutions for Menstrual Health Management (MHM).
The details of the Hackathon are available at myGov website (http://innovate.mygov.in/swachhathon-1.0/). The schools may submit their entries online at the above mentioned website and the last date of submission of entries is 25th August 2017.
