CBSE is planning to conduct the board examination of 12th Class in the month of February every year beginning 2020 according to the sources who are aware of this development. The exams of those subjects will be held in the month of February in which there are more students. This effectively means that the exams of subjects like science arts and commerce will be conducted in the month of February itself.

By doing this, students will have more time to prepare for the competitive exams like JEE and Medical. The students are not getting time to prepare for these above mentions and other similar examination at present. Generally, CBSE conducts practical papers from 15th January to 15th February every year. The theory paper will start after the practical exams.

CBSE has already taken this initiative in 2109 itself and after accessing its good response and success, the board is thinking to continue this practice keeping the benefit of the students in mind. CBSE had started taking examinations in this particular fashion in which the theory papers, vocational papers, and skill related exams were taken between 24th to 28th February for 12th class. The examination of vocational courses for the 10th class was also held during this period.

According to Mr Sanyam Bhardwaj, this experiment has been successful in 2019 and CBSE is planning to continue this pattern of conducting the examinations starting from the month of February every year. In 2019, the examinations of those subjects were started in which the number of the students were less but in the year 2020 the examinations of those subjects will be held in which the number of students is more.

We sincerely feel this step is going to benefit the school students at large and they should take full advantage of the time given for preparing for the competitive exams for better career prospects.
