CBSE in United States of America
I am sure that the
CBSE-i is capable of establishing any
great standards of
curriculum at any parts of the world, this might also get extended to
USA in the future! The CBSE has planned its
international standard accomplishments in about
25 foreign countries in the world. This is in fact a big achievement for the Indian education, as this would throw light on the
Indian education standards at
international level. All these plans have been made for the
first phase of the project (as described by the CBSE in its website) and would definitely think about the
extension of the board to other countries in the second phase. As of now, i.e. the first phase, it has planned to accomplish its international level curriculum, which is also named as the
CBSE-international in the some of the schools in the countries, like,
Malaysia,
Singapore,
UAE,
Oman,
Saudi Arabia,
Japan,
Qatar, etc…The
CBSE International (CBSEi) is
competing with the
international institutions, like,
IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), and
IB (International Baccalaureate), whereas the IGCSE is recognized as an international education system for the age group of
14 to 16 years and it is developed and organized by the
University of Cambridge International Examinations and the IB is the
international education foundation, which is headquartered in
Geneva,
Switzerland and it offers education system focusing the age group of 3 to 19 years. Hence, it is clear that the competitors’ standard is
quite high and they have well established themselves, long time ago. Here, the CBSE-i has to be appreciated for having competing with the giant leaders in the international education system. Hence, the
extension opportunities/chances are also very
evident for CBSE-i, as it has planned for the extension programs in the second phase. Now the Oman and other middle-east countries have joined hand and in the future, the schools in
USA,
UK, and many more foreign countries might join hands with CBSE-i.
